From his college, Texas A & M University Dan receive a football scholarship.

In his college days, he posted 12 receptions for 143 Yards.

Dan is the first free agent to sign with the Dallas Cowboys after Bill Parcells in 2003.

After the sign, he quickly becomes a team leader.

Because of his foot injury, Dan only played three games in 2004.

In the year 2005 Dan recovered from an appendectomy on July 27.
